Badger C2C Square Free Crochet Pattern + Graph | Wildlife Graphghan CAL Block 28

My crochet "menagerie" is growing like crazy! :) I really enjoy designing all these c2c critters!
After some voting between a badger and a cheetah, the majority of my followers chose the badger as the next animal featured in the Wildlife Graphghan.

For the ones that chose the cheetah... don't be sad! Maybe I will feature it in a next post someday in the future.

So here we go! Meat my cute little badger! I hope you will love it and add it to your crochet queue!

My little girl (5 year old) was so excited about the badger!
As she seen it, she said: "Awww, he is soo cute! I want to hug him"! :)
And she cuddled it! "It feels like real fur!" :)
I hope the kids in your life will love him too!

Badger C2C Square - Free Pattern

The Badger Corner to Corner (C2C) Square is a free crochet pattern that includes written row by row instructions for color counts follow with color pixel graph below.

If this is your first time working corner to corner crochet ( c2c ) with the half double crochet, make sure to visit the Wildlife Graphghan CAL page for detailed instructions and video tutorials for the c2c method and crisp color changes! There you will find the links to all animal blocks also.

GAUGE:

6 C2C tiles = 10 x 10 cm (4 inches x 4 inches)

SIZE:

the square is 25 tiles x 25 tiles and approx. measures approx. 15 inches X 15 inches (38 cm x 38 cm)

YARN AND COLOR CHOICES:

The yarn used for this project is Red Heart Super Saver yarn!
I love it because it comes in so many colorways, perfect for all the details in my animal blocks. And it is a durable yarn!
You can surely use another yarn, but make sure it comes in a wide color palette.

For badger's eyeballs I have used a left over brown shade, that is part of the Red Heart Super Saver Latte Stripe yarn.
You could use any brown that is not very dark.
(For example Red Heart Super Saver in colorway Coffee would be too dark and the eyes will be harder to see.)

For the light reflecting in the eyes I have use colorway Oatmeal, but if you don't have it, you can choose other light-colored yarn.

See the supply list below!
