The fourth part of our series „Crochet by you“ it's a little different, featuring the projects made by only one crocheter, that is the lovely Chickie Magoo.

Chickie made 3 beautiful cardigans for baby & toddler using my free crochet pattern „Little Girl's Cardigan“ and gave us lots of useful info regarding the yarn weight, the hook sizes used and the sizes of the cardigans.

Cut yarn. Fasten off invisibly inserting the tapestry needle from back to front in the second dc of the round, then in between the top loops of the last stitch of round. Be sure not to count the ch2 as a stitch to not add an extra stitch! You should have 30 sts in the next round)

Round 4: With white make a standing sc into the top of a dc stitch of the previous round, work (1 hdc and 1 dc) into same stitch as the standing single crochet, sk 2 sts, *(1sc, 1hdc, 1 dc) in next st, sk 2 sts *, repeat from * to * 9 times, sl st into the top of the first sc. (10 groups)

Rounds 5 - 6 : ch1, (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) into same st, sk (1hdc, 1dc), work *(1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) into next sc, sk (1hdc, 1dc) *, repeat from * to * 9 times, sl st into the top of first sc. ( 10 groups). Cut yarn. Fasten off.

From now on work in rows, turning the piece at the end of each row.

For the color change
, work the last sc of the row until it is half completed, having two loops on hook, join other color yarn with a sl st and pull through the 2 loops on hook.

Row 1: Sl st with pink into the top of a sc stitch on the right side of the slipper.
Ch1, work (1hdc, 1dc) into same st, *sk next (hdc and dc), work (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) into next sc *, repeat from * to * till the end of the row, sk the last (hdc and dc), 1sc into same st as the first group at the beginning of the row, ch1 and turn. (10 groups)
