True Blue Throw Pillows - Free Crochet Pattern from guest contributor

This free crochet pillow cower pattern is brought to you by our guest, Abbey from The Firefly Hook. An easy pattern, great for beginners also!






True Blue Throw Pillows
Written instructions and pictures Copyright 2016 Abbey Swanson

Yarn: Wool and the Gang Crazy Sexy Wool (80m/87yds/200g per skein); 2 skeins in Midnight Blue (MC), 2 skeins in Stonewash Blue (CC).

Hook: 12 mm

Gauge: 2 sts = 1”

Other materials: 2 12” pillows that can be re-covered.

Makes 2 12” pillows

Abbreviations:
ch—chain
hdc—half double crochet
MC—main color
CC—contrasting color

Pattern:
Make 2 in MC and 2 in CC.

Ch 22.

Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook (counts as 1 hdc) and in each ch across. (20 hdc)

Row 2: (WS) Ch 2 (counts as 1 hdc), working in closest front loop hdc in each st across.

Row 3: Ch 2 (counts as 1 hdc), hdc in each st across.

Rows 4 – 15: Rep rows 2 and 3. Finish off.

With WS facing, sew 2 squares together (1 MC and 1 CC) on 3 sides. Insert pillow and sew final side together. Repeat with second pillow.
