Pattern Slippers (make 2):

A) Working in rounds starting at toe.
With fuchsia make a magic ring.
Round 1: Work 10 sc into the magic ring, sl st into the top of first sc. (10 sts)
Round 2: ch2 (does not count as a stitch), 2 dc in same stitch and 2 dc in each stitch around, sl st into the top of the first dc. (20 sts)
Round 3: ch2 (does not count as a stitch), 1dc into same st, 2dc in next st, (1dc in next st, 2dc in next st) x 9 times, sl st into the top of the first dc. (30 sts)

Cut yarn. Fasten off invisibly inserting the tapestry needle from back to front in the second dc of the round, then in between the top loops of the last stitch of round. Be sure not to count the ch2 as a stitch to not add an extra stitch! You should have 30 sts in the next round)

Round 4: With white make a standing sc into the top of a dc stitch of the previous round, work (1 hdc and 1 dc) into same stitch as the standing single crochet, sk 2 sts, *(1sc, 1hdc, 1 dc) in next st, sk 2 sts *, repeat from * to * 9 times, sl st into the top of the first sc. (10 groups)
Rounds 5-6 : ch1, (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) into same st, sk (1hdc, 1dc), work *(1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) into next sc, sk (1hdc, 1dc) *, repeat from * to * 9 times, sl st into the top of first sc. ( 10 groups). Cut yarn. Fasten off.

From now on work in rows, turning the piece at the end of each row.
Do not cut yarn, carry color not in use from row to row, working over it at the end of the current row and at the beginning of the next row.
For the color change, work the last sc of the row until it is half completed, having two loops on hook, join other color yarn with a sl st and pull through the 2 loops on hook.
Row 1: Sl st with pink into the top of a sc stitch on the right side of the slipper.
Ch1, work (1hdc, 1dc) into same st, *sk next (hdc and dc), work (1sc, 1hdc, 1dc) into next sc *, repeat from * to * till the end of the row, sk the last (hdc and dc), 1sc into same st as the first group at the beginning of the row, ch1 and turn. (10 groups)
Row 2: (1hdc, 1dc) into first st, *sk next (1dc, 1hdc) and work (1 sc, 1hdc, 1dc) into next sc*, repeat from * to *, sk last (dc and hdc), 1 sc into the ch1 of previous row, ch1 and turn.
Row 3: same as row 2, but with color change at the end of the row like this: work the last sc half way; having 2 loops on hook attach green yarn and finish the sc with green, ch1 and turn.
Rows 4-6 continue with green the same as row 2. Change to white at the end of row 6. ch1 and turn.
Rows 7-9 continue with white the same as row 2. Change to fuchsia at the end of row 9. ch1 and turn.
Rows 10-12 continue with fuchsia the same as row 2. Change to green at the end of row 12. ch1 and turn.
Rows 13 and 14 continue with green the same as row 2. ch1 and turn.

 The heel decrease (row 15)
Fold the slipper into half and place stitch marker into the top of  the sc stitch of the 5th group from right to left (in the the middle of the piece).

Note: The sc sts before the marked st, the marked st and the sc after the marked st will be worked together, skipping the hd and dc sts in between; the heel decrease. (See the photo collage in the Child size slipper)

Row 15
(1hdc, 1dc) into first st, *sk next (1dc, 1hds) and work (1 sc, 1hdc, 1dc) into next sc*, repeat from * to * 3 times total; skipping the dc and hdc stitches in between work sc3tog TIGHT, (1hc, 1dc) in same st, *sk next (1dc, 1hds) and work (1 sc, 1hdc, 1dc) into next sc*, repeat from * to * till end of the row, sk last (dc and hdc), 1 sc into the ch1, changing color to white. ch1 and turn.
Row 16:  (1hdc, 1dc) into first st, *sk next (1dc, 1hdc) and work (1 sc, 1hdc, 1dc) into next sc*, repeat from * to *, sk last (dc and hdc), 1 sc into the ch1 of previous row.  (8 groups)

In the next picture you'll see the toddler and the child size slippers, The child size can be found here. Working the child size with a larger hook and thicker yarn you will make an adult woman size of the slipper.

I also made a free crochet baby booties pattern, the Blooming Strawberry Baby Booties size 0-6 months, using the same stitch pattern! They also have a matching earflap hat!
