Zig Zag Baby Booties | A Free Pattern Review by My Hobby is Crochet of the Lavender Baby Booties by Mon Petit Violon

These cute baby booties were made by me at the end of the year 2011, for my baby girl on the way.

Zig Zag Baby Booties | A Free Pattern Review by My Hobby is Crochet of the Lavender Baby Booties by Mon Petit Violon

I have searched for a pretty and easy pattern and fell in love of the Lavender Baby Booties by Mon Petit Violon found on Ravelry as a Free Download.

The pattern comes in 2 versions: a striped one (the one I chose) and a solid color version. The booties measure 10 cm foot length, fitting babies up to 6 months.

I loved the pattern and how the booties came out. They worked up quick and easy, the pattern being suitable even for beginner crocheters. The step by step pictures were a great visual for me because at that time I still had troubles reading English patterns.

I have followed the pattern exactly till the last round of the cuff, then made the shells this way: *5 hdc in ch -3 loop of previous round, slst in the slst of previous round*, repeat from * to * around.
Instead of the ribbon called for the pattern, I have crocheted a long stripe of chains.

I hope you will enjoy the pattern as much I did.
