Simple Dainty Flowers

Don't lose this pattern!

Supplies:
- sport weight yarn in 2 colors (A and B)
(or other yarn weight and appropriated hook size)
- 4 mm crochet hook
- tapestry needle to sew in the ends.

Crochet Stitches and abbreviations used:
- magic ring
- ch: chain
- sc: single crochet
- slst: slip stitch

Pattern:
With yarn color A (yellow in my case) make a magic ring.
(If you prefer, you can replace the magic ring with ch4 and slst in the first ch made to close in ring).

Round 1: ch1, (1sc into ring, 4ch) x 8 times, slst into first sc.
(Make the chains even, to have a nice, symmetrical look).
Pull yarn tail to close the ring. Fasten off.
(8sc and 8 arches of 4ch total)

First round
Round 2: Having a slip knot on the hook with yarn color B (red in my case), make 1sc around the stem of the first sc of the previous round, ch3.
Work behind the first round, folding it to the front:
(1sc around the stem of the next sc, ch3) x 7 times, ending with a slst in the first sc at the beginning of the round.
(8 arches of 3ch total)

Second round
Round 3: Chain 1.
Work in the first ch3 arch: ((1sc, 3ch) x 3 times, 1sc). You've just made the first petal.

Move to the next ch3 arch and work ((1sc, 3ch) x 3 times, 1sc).
Repeat this step for all petals, ending with a slst in the ch1 at the beginning of the round. Cut yarn. Fasten off. The flowers tend to curl a little, bring them in shape.
(8 petals total. Each petal has 3 arches of ch3 spaces.)
